How to Join

If you're interested in joining, please reach out to our Secretary, who will guide you through the process, or directly contact the Pipe Major. You can easily spot the Pipe Major leading the left front row of our marching band.

Membership is open to individuals aged 7 and above, and there are no membership fees thanks to our generous sponsorship and community fundraising efforts.

We practice every Wednesday night at 7 pm, at the British Legion Club, 22 Park Street, Galashiels, TD1 1BZ.

We provide all the necessary equipment for our members, including bagpipes and drums. Additionally, we outfit our members with complete uniforms, including kilts, jackets, and more.

Our comprehensive instruction covers a range of skills:

> Drill techniques, including marching on the spot, countermarching, and regular marching <

> Bagpipe instruction, starting with the chanter and progressing to the bagpipes <

> Training on snare drums, tenor drums, and the bass drum <

Many of our former students have gone on to become outstanding musicians, excelling in competitions or establishing
themselves as accomplished performers.
